Kashaf Roud Panel

Kashaf Roud is a river in the North of Mashhad,  joining Harir Roud, it forms Tajan and flows into Turkmanistan. In recent years the river has been a focal point of Environmental activities in Mashhad. Pollution by industrial and municipal sewage and land use change are some of the issues that have endangered the health of the river and its surrounding ecosystems.

The “Silence is Our Fault” panel was held to review the issues surrounding Kashaf Roud and approaches to improve the conditions of the river and nearby areas.

Among the invited panelist were the renowned Iranian science educator Dr Esmail Kahrom and the former deputy of the Iranian Department of Environment, Mr. Darvish.
